Little Saints Preschool (LSP) is a non-profit cooperative preschool. It has been in existence since 1956, when it was organized by a group of mothers who wanted to provide preschool social and educational experiences for their children. The preschool is currently located in the Church of St. Peter, but is not affiliated with the Church. LSP is licensed by the State of Minnesota and meets all state requirements for preschools.

Our program goals are the following:
It is our aim to encourage your preschoolers to continue questioning, seeking and inquiring by giving them new experiences. We try to teach independence, responsibility, cooperation and self-awareness.

In 1956 a group of St. Peter parents formed the St. Peter Play Group to provide an educational program for their children. The group met in the basement of family homes. Over the years the name and location had been changed, but the main educational goals remained the same. In the 1980's the group was renamed the Central Community Preschool but soon would be changed to Little Saints Preschool.

Children are eligible for admission if they are three years of age and have not yet been enrolled in kindergarten.
This program will not discriminate in admissions or dismissals on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin or source of payment.
Every child enrolled in the program must have a health care summary and immunization record on file at the preschool.
In addition to these, each family must fill out a family information form and an authorization form and other forms required by the State of Minnesota.

Tuition is computed on an annual school year basis, payable annually, semi-annually or monthly. Each year the parent board reviews tuition and sets the following year's tuition. A scholarship fund is available for qualified families needing financial assistance. A copy of the past year income and a financial assistance form is required to be submitted for Board action.

Little Saints Preschool's main fund-raiser is "Breakfast with Santa", held on a Saturday in December. This fund-raiser is extremely important to meet the preschool's operating expenses. All parents are asked to assist with the fund-raiser in some capacity.
