JISC Meeting Minutes

January 3, 2011

 

 

 

     The meeting was called to order at 11:35 a.m.   Attendance was taken and no one was absent.  The minutes were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and approved.  We have a total of $2,867.90 in the bank.

 

 

Old Business

 

            We collected 496 toys for the Santa Anonymous Campaign this year.  Well Done!!

            The Christmas lunch trip will be rescheduled for some time later this month.  Mrs. Lynch will hand out new permission slips when the date is set.

            For Catholic Schools Week we will be collecting pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls. A student from New Ulm is collecting shoes through out the diocese for this group.  Soles4Souls is a charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and closets of people like us.  The charity distributes these shoes to people in need.  Shoes have been distributed to over 125 countries and 45 states in the USA.  All types of shoes will be accepted as long as they are new or gently worn.  Gently worn means shoes you can still wear.  They should have solid soles with no holes, laces if applicable, and clean (no mud).

            We worked on plans for the week.  The following is what we have come up with so far:

            The next meeting is Monday, January 10th.   A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.  The meeting was adjourned at 12:04 p.m.
